Nathan Rose

Founder - Director - Chief Executive Officer 



Nathan is skilled in operations management, technical support, and case management, person-centered planning, and Organizational leadership. Nathan has developed a reputation for helping people get the most out of their NDIS plans with over 7 years of industry experience. Nathan has undertaken various studies to support his abilities to assist complex participants navigate the NDIS, mainstream health, justice and Allied Health systems. Nathan is certified as a Complex support coordinator, to ensure participants are supported through various interfaces and has participant’s accessing the complex support needs team (CSN) through the NDIS which supports them with getting funded supports for their individual needs on the complex pathways program.


Nathan’s passion for supporting people with disability stems from his personal experience. His sister lives with disability and accesses the NDIS, and therefore Nathan knows first-hand how important it is for families to have a strong voice and this underpins how he works with individuals and families.

Previously, Nathan has led a team of Support Coordinators as a Support Coordination Manager. His team spanned across two states and four regions. servicing from Gladstone QLD to Northern NSW and as far west as the New England region, which supports over 150 participants.

Outside of his role, Nathan enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the great outdoors and camping.

Founder - Director- Tina Ashcroft

  

Tina is a skilled and passionate director of service at Indigo Rose Disability Support Services and leads the service and administration operations of Indigo Rose. Tina is proud of her culture and is committed to her Bundjalung people and family.

 

Tina is also bound to ensure participants and their families receive person-centered services and know how important it is for participants and their families to receive the care they need and the difference these services make to our participants and their ability to live their best lives every day. 

Tina ensures that the appropriate match between support workers is undertaken in consultation with each participant and their family.

 

Tina's dedication stems from her personal experiences, having grown up with a family member with special needs. This understanding fuels her commitment to ensuring our families receive the right support, making a significant difference in the lives of each participant on their NDIS Journey.

Regional Manager Northern Rivers

  

Flynn Benfield is the Regional Manager at Indigo Rose, based in Lismore. With a career journey that spans frontline work, team leadership, and operational management, Flynn brings a grounded, straight-talking approach to leadership. His background includes roles in the plumbing trade, macadamia farm management, nightclub security, high school support units, and NDIS disability support — each adding layers to his ability to lead, connect, and deliver under pressure.

Flynn transitioned into the support sector with a passion for making a real difference in people’s lives. He has since progressed from disability support work to support coordination, and now into leadership — where he combines strategic oversight with firsthand experience. He thrives on building strong teams, streamlining systems, and keeping the mission of empowerment and respect at the heart of the work.

Known for his hands-on style and commitment to doing the work alongside his team, Flynn holds formal qualifications across education support, counselling, security, and the NDIS. His creative side shines through in his love of cooking, landscaping, music, and art — activities that help him stay connected and balanced.

Administration Manager

  

Margaret Bird is a dedicated and highly experienced Administration Manager at Indigo Rose, where she plays a pivotal role in leading the administrative teams. With over 25 years of experience in administration and operational leadership, Margaret brings both precision and purpose to her work—delivering accurate, technical, and financial support that underpins the day-to-day success of the organisation.

As a key member of the executive team, Margaret collaborates closely with Directors to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and standards. She also provides direct support to the Managing Director on a wide range of financial, compliance, and operational matters, ensuring the smooth and ethical functioning of Indigo Rose.

Margaret’s leadership is deeply grounded in personal insight: as a parent of a child accessing NDIS services, she understands the importance of tailored, compassionate support and the impact it has on individuals and families. This personal experience drives her unwavering commitment to achieving better outcomes for every participant and community member.

Margaret is known for her clarity, focus, and calm approach. She excels in strategic coordination and is a strong advocate for administrative excellence and transparent operations. Her leadership ensures that families receive support that is not only structured and compliant—but also individualized, respectful, and meaningful.

Sean Rich is a dedicated and passionate leader in the community services sector, currently serving as a valued member of the Senior Management Team at Indigo Rose Disability Support Services. With extensive experience across Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) and NDIS services, Sean brings both professional expertise and deeply rooted personal insight to his role—having grown up in residential care himself, he is powerfully motivated to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Throughout his career, Sean has built a strong reputation for fostering caring, trauma-informed relationships while implementing and upholding child-safe practices. He began his journey as a specialized foster carer and house parent, roles that demanded a high level of responsibility, leadership, and resilience. In collaboration with House Leaders, he helped ensure the smooth and safe running of operations while guiding and supporting care staff.

Sean is known for his ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, balancing multiple demands with professionalism and composure. He excels in stakeholder engagement, having established strong working relationships with children, families, internal teams, and key external bodies such as the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and NSW Police.

His leadership is underpinned by strong competencies in consultation, conflict resolution, and negotiation. He has also completed a range of formal studies, including a Diploma of Community Services, Certificate II in Business Administration, and advanced training in crisis prevention, cultural awareness, trauma and attachment, occupational health and safety, and person-centered care. Additionally, Sean has undertaken workplace-focused training in communication strategies, debriefing facilitation, and systems and process operations.

Sean’s lived experience, professional skill set, and heartfelt dedication uniquely position him to lead with empathy, integrity, and insight. At Indigo Rose, he is committed to supporting both support workers and families to ensure that all participants receive safe, genuine, and person-centered care.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys farming and gardening on his 20-acre property, where he shares life with his horses, rabbits, ducks, chickens, a blue cattle dog, and a chocolate-colored goat.
